Kids’ Krill: The Gift of Optimal Health*

Kids' Krill Oil for your child during his or her development and rapid growth period*In most Asian countries like Japan, krill is enjoyed as a luscious delicacy more commonly known as “okiami.” Large krill with eggs are highly favored. Krill is stronger-tasting than shrimp, and somewhat salty.

However, according to natural health expert Dr. Joseph Mercola, krill is more than just an Asian delicacy. Krill is also a rich source of highly beneficial components such as omega-3 fats, choline, and DHA.* Generally, choline and DHA are two of the most talked-about krill oil benefits, associated with optimal health and brain development in children.*

Choline is a phospholipid found in significant quantities in your child’s brain. Produced in the liver, choline is essential in:

  • Keeping the integrity of all human cell membranes*
  • Production of acetylcholine – a neurotransmitter required for memory, other brain functions, and muscle control*
  • Supporting proper cholesterol function and levels in your body, particularly if your child lacks a diet of nutritious organic meats and vegetables*

On the other hand, DHA is a long-chain omega-3 fatty acid. Naturally found in breast milk, DHA is significantly crucial not only during the first year, but also throughout your child’s life to help perform the following functions:

  • Strong cognitive function (through support of optimal neuron function)*
  • Ability to concentrate and focus*
  • Muscle function and coordination*
  • Normal social development*
  • Appropriate behavior*
  • Increased visual acuity
  • Positive mental health outlook*

Muscle control and coordination may not seem important for non-athletic kids (or parents), but it’s a crucial part of the process of coordinated writing.* It’s also a fundamental part of sitting still during many learning activities without fidgeting, flailing around, kicking, and more.*

During his growing years, your child will need all the nutrients – especially choline and DHA – that he can get to support continuous brain development and to maintain optimal health.* Ideally, he should get his supply of choline and DHA through a nutrient-rich diet, especially from fish.

However, according to Dr. Mercola:

“The challenge of course, is that most of the marine life is contaminated with mercury. Why? Because the bulk of electricity – at least in North America – is provided by burning coal, and coal is contaminated with mercury. That’s why it’s virtually impossible to find fishes that are free of mercury, unless they’re really from the extremes like Arctic or the Antarctic.”

In addition, there have also been studies that revealed how eating fish can potentially expose your child to a high degree of contamination of industrial pollutants and toxins other than mercury, like PCBs, heavy metals, and radioactive poisons.

Kids today also have an unexplainable aversion to eating fish. They prefer eating salty chips, candy, fast food, and other processed foods, which deserve the term “junk foods” because they provide absolutely no nourishment at all.

If you have to pick a product to supplement your child’s diet, Kids’ Krill Oil is a good source of DHA, choline, and antioxidants to help provide overall health support.* In a recent study, krill oil was shown to work more effectively than fish oil even with lower doses of EPA and DHA.

Kids’ Krill Oil is especially formulated for your kids and comes in small, easy-to-swallow capliques. Now, your kids can enjoy all the benefits of krill oil without even it’s good for them!
